Edward aka “Eak the Geek” is covered head to toe in black and white tattoos. The 47-year-old has been accumulating them for over 20 years and has made a living off his altered state of appearance. After working at the Coney Island Side Show for 14 years, Eak (which stands for “Eddy are you kidding”) decided to pursue a different career path. He’s been in the Mid-West for a year and a half pursuing a law school education. Now with plans to forgo the law degree, Eak is returning to his East Village digs later this year. The tattooed man’s hobbies include poetry writing, and he says he’s not sure whether he’ll get inked anymore. “I go through phases every few years–getting more with new life experiences,” he says. With tattoos in almost every location feasible, what part of the body hurt the most? Eak can attest that his most painful tattoo is on the inner thigh.
