In my personal (and professional) opinion, The Ride is one of the worst cases of gilding the lilly I’ve seen in a long time. They put these silly acts on the street because they don’t tust the tourists to find this city fascinating enough as it is. Recent reports of actors running away with rubber fire hydrants (to simulate a crime in action), dancers suddenly pirouetting in front of the bus, etc. abound. Apparently, REAL New York unfolding spontaneously just isn’t entertaining or kitchy enough for ticket holders to The Ride.

Cheryl,

Sorry I haven’t replied sooner. Things are crazy. Erin & I are due with our third child in March. I am working on Nutcracker. Life is full but blessed. We are hoping to get down to MS this summer. If we do, I will be certain to drop by. I am working on my master’s degree. All will depend upon my school schedule. I tell you, it is great to see your pictures. I feel the rise of memories I had thought securely fastened down. I have so much joy associated with my time spent with you. I pray this finds you well. I hope to be in contact soon.

Get some crayons, magic markers and paper plates. Take a walk down memory lane with those you’re riding the storm out with. Draw a depiction of a special memory in your life and then share. A great way to learn new things about each other!
